COMMERCE – Olin Chester Maxwell, 66, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015.
Mr. Maxwell was born in Elberton on June 4, 1949, the son of the late Bob and Mary Lou Jones Maxwell. He was the husband of Glenda Briggs Maxwell, having celebrated over 22 years of marriage together. Mr. Maxwell was a veteran of the United States Army, and worked throughout his life as a polisher in the granite industry.
Survivors include sons, Olin Chester Maxwell, Jr. and his wife, Tracie, Robert Jones Clark Maxwell and his wife, Misty Dawn, all of Dewy Rose, and Patrick Von Maxwell, Elberton; daughter, Nakita Chenoa Maxwell, Commerce; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Emily Green, Iva, S.C., and Tracy Lord, Nicholson; and a brother, Johnny Jones.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, November 12, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time for the service.
The family will be at the home of Olin and Tracie Maxwell at 2159 Circle Q Lane in Dewy Rose.
