COMMERCE – Willie Dee Hanley, 88, died Friday, January 1, 2016, at University Nursing and Rehab.
Mr. Hanley was born in Carnesville, the son of the late Ernest Lee and Flossie Edwards Hanley. He was retired from Hanley Plumbing.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Joyce Adams Hanley, Commerce; daughters, Jane Bess, Watkinsville, Diane Nix, Commerce, Michelle Turner, Watkinsville, and Shirley Nix, Commerce; sisters, Pearlie McGee, Ila, Eleanor Appling, Hull; brothers, Mack Hanley, Ila, Ernest Hanley Jr., Hull, and Otha Hanley, Hull; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 4, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Mitch Elder and Donald Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Freedom Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.
