COMER – Joe Clyde Guest, Jr, 76, passed away Jan. 6, 2016.
He was the son of the late Joe C. and Bertie Lou Guest. He was also a longtime member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Guest was preceded in death by two brothers, James Guest and David Herring.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 10, 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Olds officiating. The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 6-8 p.m. for visitation. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Guest; children, Sherry (Jeff) Smith, Carol (Calvin) Sims and Joe Guest III; sisters and brothers, Jerry, Pete, Ed Guest, Beatrice Tench, Stanley Guest and Nancy Casper; five grandchildren, Casey Smith, Kalei Guest, Staci Sims, Zeke Guest and Ezra Guest; and two great-grandchildren, Ana Smith and Rya Smith.
