BOWMAN – Russell Lee Jordan, 83, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Mr. Jordan was born in Danielsville on December 8, 1932, the son of the late Oscar Jordan and Susie Power Jordan. He was a winding tower operator having worked at Westinghouse and was a United States. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Vineyard’s Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Viola M. Parham Jordan; sons, Brad Jordan and Wade Jordan, Danielsville; daughter, Jan Jordan, Athens; step-daughters, Jackie Collins, Greensboro, and Pam Burden, Bowman; sisters, Clara Bonds and Meryle Booth, both of Danielsville; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and ten step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
