PENDERGRASS – Ola Mae Campbell, 82, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, August 8, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Cheek. Ola Mae was an active long-time member of Walnut Fork Baptist Church, where she kept the nursery for 30 plus years. She always thought of all the children as her own. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Cheek, Jr.; sister, Virginia Davis; and granddaughter, Christina Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, C.H. Campbell, Jr.; son William Campbell; daughters, Vickie West and husband Tommy, Veronica Smith and husband Andy, all of Pendergrass; sister, Latrelle Vickers, Oakwood; brother Russell Cheek, Gainesville; grandsons, Waylon Thomas and wife Courtney, Hoschton, and Jessie Thomas and wife Melissa, Braselton; granddaughter, Andrea Smith, Pendergrass; great-grandson, Jackson Thomas, Braselton; great-granddaughters, Caroline and Elizabeth Sanders, Braselton, and Julia Hut, Hoschton; and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, at Walnut Fork Baptist Church, 557 Hwy. 60, Hoschton, GA 30548. Pastor Dr. Rusty Newman will be officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
