PENDERGRASS – Virginia Toney Shaw, 72, entered into rest Sunday, August 7, 2016.
Mrs. Shaw was born in Hall County, the daughter of the late James Anthony Toney and Ethel Lucille Godfrey. Toney, was a member of the Walnut Fork Baptist Church and the Spiritual Seekers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Shaw was retired from Fresh Frozen Foods, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Shaw.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Allan Shaw and his wife Sherri, Pendergrass, and Brian Mark Shaw, Austin, Texas.; one sister, Annette Bunnell, Murrayville; a brother, Charlie James Toney, Powder Springs; and two grandchildren, Dylan Shaw and Savannah Shaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Rusty Newman officiating with burial to follow in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, at the funeral home. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers will be Lewis Pittman, Leon Pittman, Danny Collins, Tom Collins, David Gearin, and Bill Collins.
Flowers are optional with memorials made to Walnut Fork Baptist Church, 557 Highway 60, Hoschton, Georgia 30548, or to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway 222, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
