JEFFERSON – Vera Mae Lynn Marlowe, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
Mrs. Marlowe was born in Jefferson, the daughter of the late George and Dovie Craig Lynn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Living Word Worship Center. Mrs. Marlowe was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Emory Marlowe Jr.; and a son, Perry Dewayne Marlowe.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Marsha and Derrell Crowe, Sheryl Martin, and Juanita Delong, all of Jefferson; brother, Edward Lynn, Alabama; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Mobley officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with Marcus Crowe, Mike Lynn, Bobby Ellis, Lee Poole, David Chapman, and Matt Benson honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
