HULL – Mazie Wood Smith, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
A native of Homer, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alma Smith Wood and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Smith; brothers, Carl Wood and Junior Wood; and a sister, Dot Sailors. She was a receptionist at the Physical Plant at the University of Georgia and a member of Hull Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Patsy S. Fullwood and husband, Tony, Hull; son, Robert T. Smith and wife, Tess, Lynnville, Texas; brother, Jerry Wood, Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Ruth Brown, Commerce, Merle Batson, Easley, S.C., Wilma Whidby, Loganville, and Nell Airial, Plains; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 15, at Hull Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 14, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
