HOSCHTON – Douglas Edwin Wood Sr., 70, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013.
Mr. Wood was born in Hoschton, the son of the late Edwin D. “Tapp” and Grace Elizabeth Wood Wood. He was an electrician who owned and operated Wood Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Mae Wetherford Wood, Hoschton; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Tim Taffar, Hoschton; son, Eddie Wood, Hoschton; brother, David Wood and Denise, Jefferson; four grandchildren, Seth, Hannah, Sarah, and Silas; and a nephew, Christopher Wood and Joy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Taffar officiating.
