BALDWIN – Vera B. Steele, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013.
She was born in Moultrie on May 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Thadeus P. and Judie Bryan Green. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Wendell Hill, Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Phyllis Pruitt, Orange Park, Fla.; four grandchildren, Alice and Brian Paulk, John and Carrie Pruitt, Larry Pruitt, and Glenna and Chris Bray; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, at Whitfield Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gene Todd officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 30, and from noon until the service on Tuesday, December 31.
