COLBERT – Lillian Luke Sexton, widow of Marvin A. Sexton of Danielsville, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014.

She was born July 3, 1933, and was a native of Oconee County. She was the fifth child of the late C.F. (Dooley) Luke and Ree Thornton Luke. Mrs. Sexton was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Terri Sexton Franks and Barry W. Franks, Colbert; granddaughter, Molly Ree Franks, Brunswick; grandson, Jonathan W. Franks and wife Stacy, Ila; brother, Foster Luke and wife Mary Frances, Bogart; sister-in-law, Rosa Craft Luke, Bogart; brother-in-law, Brad Aderhold, Canon; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Betty Fortson Carey and family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, at 11 a.m. at Lord & Stephens Danielsville chapel with the Revs. Benny Boggus and Bill Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Danielsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Thomas, Dave Certain, Jonathan Franks, Stephens House, Keith Stallings, and Scott Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Mayes, Jimmy Williams, John William Greason, and Russell McCants. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 20, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice House, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604. All donations should be earmarked St. Mary’s Hospice House.
