BRASELTON – Grace James Grogan, 93, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late James and Fannie James and was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and rock collecting. She loved her little dog, Suzie. Mrs. Grogan was preceded in death by her husband, Erastus Grogan; brothers, Harold James, Paul James, Ed James, John James, Bill James, and Fred James; and great-grandchild, Tab Swartzbaugh.
Survivors include a daughter Sharon Stancil, Braselton; sister, Pat Patterson, Gillsville; grandchildren, Brad Allison, Casey Allison, Tina Hayes, Lisa Campbell, and Kay Davis; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Rebura, Zoe Swartzbaugh, Sam Weaver, Heather Hayes, Trisha Hayes, Logan Campbell, J J Davis, and Nathan Davis; great-great-grandchildren, Ella Rebura and Brintin Rebura; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, at the funeral home. The Revs. Glenn Parrish and Blane Spencer will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Campbell, Dwayne Hayes, Jacob Davis, Michael Patterson, Casey Allison, Sam Weaver, and Steve Patterson. Interment will be held at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
