BOGART – Brandon Lamar Puckett, 30, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
He was the son of Donny and Wanda Burkhead Puckett of Bogart. A graduate of Winder-Barrow High School in 2002, he was a State Champion in wrestling and later received an Associate’s Degree in accounting. He was an avid racecar driver and owner of Puckett Construction Group. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Allen Burkhead.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Alison Puckett, Bogart; grandparents, Jimmy and Nell Puckett and Gladys Fisher; step-sons Brandon and Tegan; step-daughter, Payslee; and a sister, Ashley Puckett, Bogart.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Smith Funeral Home in Winder. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Providence Methodist Church Cemetery in Statham.
