PENDERGRASS – William Roger Wilson, 78, entered into rest Wednesday, March 12, 2015.
He was born in Braselton, the son of the late John D Wilson and the late Edith Roberts Wilson. Mr. Wilson served his country in the United States Army, was a member of Northeast Church, loved the outdoors and was a true friend of nature, feeding birds, fish and other wildlife in his yard, where he enjoyed cutting grass and maintaining the area around his home. He was a retired salesman with Atlanta Dairies after 38 years of service. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Elizabeth Waters Wilson.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Wilson McCraw and her husband Craig, Sandra Wilson Dickerson and her husband Eric, and Angela Wilson Salter, all of Pendergrass; two grandsons and wives, Jimmy and Mallory Salter, and Luke and Rebecca Salter; five great-grandchildren, Reese, West, Molly, Julian, and Madeline; two brothers, Dalton Wilson, Jacksonville, Fla., and James Wilson, Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ Harbin officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Deacons of Northeast Church honored as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March, 14.
