DANIELSVILLE – Bertie Elizabeth Dove Horne, 93, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Brown Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Horne was born in Danielsville on January 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Ernest Vickery Dove and Myrtie Stonecypher Dove. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Danielsville. Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Odanius Horne; brothers, Elma Dove, Paul Dove, John Dove, Hugh Dove, and Felton Dove; and sisters, Ethel Dove, Retha Smith, Bertha Hicks, Glennie Ward, and Jewell Ivester.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Horne and Helen Horne, both of Danielsville; brothers, Robert Dove, Nicholson, Crawford Dove and Ray Dove, both of Comer, and Nelson Dove, Statham; and a sister, Tina Coleman, Colbert.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at the Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Guest officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday morning. The family is at the home.
