BETHLEHEM – Alvor K. Parten, 73, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Oren and Drew Willie Smith Kellum. Mrs. Parten was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Cecil “Bo”, and Glenn Kellum; and her husband, John Roy Parten. She was a member of the Bethlehem First United Methodist Church, and was an office manager for Piedmont Plumbing Supply.
Survivors include a stepson, Tommy Parten (Rena), Bethlehem; brother, Delmer Kellum, Winder; two sisters, Nell Akins, Statham, and Beth Kellum, Winder; step-granddaughter, Tam Mull “Destry”, Bethlehem; and two step-great-grandchildren, Trenton and Baily Mull.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Parker Benson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
