Minnie Lee Sorrow, 74, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Garnet and Bessie Mathis Adams. Mrs. Sorrow was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sorrow; and a sister, Willie Mae Adams.
Survivors include sons, Grady Franklin Sorrow and Jimmy Ray Sorrow, both of Commerce, and Dennis Alan Sorrow, Colorado; brothers, Johnny Adams, Gainesville, and J.C. Adams, Washington State; sisters, Ida Belle Sears, Madison County, Pearly Mae Helton, Tennessee, Sara Ann Turner, Jasper, and Sara Martin, Ruby Watson, Patricia Hill, Jenny Dempsey and Lucy Ogden, all of Gainesville; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 18, from 6 until 8 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday, June 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Peek officiating. Interment will follow at Howington Cemetery.
