BRASELTON – On Friday, June 6, 2014, Jeanette Valenti (nee Allegro) quietly and peacefully passed away.
She was born in Jersey City, N.J. on December 18, 1916, and was 97 years old. Jeanette was a homemaker and wonderful cook who devoted her life to raising her two children and adoring her husband.
Jeanette and Joseph Valenti (died 1979) were the proud parents of Joe Valenti (Beth), Oakland, N.J. and Lynda Kelley Champaign (Jim), Braselton. She cherished her two granddaughters, Colleen Kelley Dean, Cumming, and Lisa Valenti, West Milford, N.J. But no one, absolutely no one, made Jeanette’s face light up more then her three great-grandchildren, Simon, Riley and Phoebe Dean.
Before moving to Georgia in 2001, Jeanette lived for 50 years in Rutherford, N.J. She was a member of Saint Mary’s RC Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She was also very active in the Golden Age Club, AARP Chapter 1519, Renew Group Community of God’s Love and 55 Kip Center.
Funeral services were held June 9, in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
