JEFFERSON – Jacqueline Dozier Herrick, 84, entered into rest Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
Mrs. Herrick was born in Jefferson, the daughter of the late Luther George Dozier and Gladys Hardy Dozier. She was a retired real estate broker who owned Dozier Land Company, and was also a retired librarian at the University of Georgia. Mrs. Herrick was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Pilot Club of Jefferson, I-85 Board of Realtors, Presidents Club of UGA, Dorcas Sunday School Class, and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include a son, Charles E. “Chuck” Moore Jr., Athens; sisters, Barbara “Bobbie” Limmiatis-Nudelman, Melbourne, Fla. and Patricia Singletary-Borm, Griffin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Dr. Michael Helms and the Rev. Richard Hoard officiating. The burial will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
