DANIELSVILLE – Carlton B. Couch, 76, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, due to an extended illness of pulmonary fibrosis.
A native of Athens, he was the son of the late Harry Bartow Couch, Sr. and Myrtis Elizabeth Doster Couch. He was preceded in death by siblings, Dean Couch, Harry Bartow Couch, Jr., and Dora Kittle; and stepmother, Dorothy Mooney Couch. Carl retired from Westinghouse and ABB after 39 years of service. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Wretha Gilreath Couch; daughter, Pat (Randy) Archer; son, Curtis (Viv) Couch; step-daughters, Lynn Jones, Kelly (Tony) Royston, and Kristie (David) Bragg; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Couch, Dewey Rose; and sisters, Sybil Rice, Watkinsville, and Dot Smith, Ila.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 5, at 2 p.m. at Princeton Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tony L. Royston officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
