HOSCHTON – David Philip Graves, 66, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012.
He was born in Charleston, S.C., the son of the late Hazel Truitt and Mary Cox Graves. Mr. Graves was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was also a fisherman and oysterman in Apalachicola, Fla..
Survivors include sisters, Sandra Graves Collins, Tucson, Ariz., and Sally Graves Adamson, Hoschton; and a brother, Jackson C. Graves, Hoschton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. David Ash and Rusty Newman officiating. The burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Loganville. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
