Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment following at the Hickory Flat United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lula. The Rev. Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, September 14, at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.
Mrs. Jones was born November 3, 1920, in Lula, the daughter of the late Roscoe Clifton and Mattie Turner Brewer. She was a member of the Gainesville C.H. Church and a graduate of North Georgia Technical College. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Hammond C. Jones; brothers, Rev. Marvin Brewer and Roy Brewer; and sisters, Bess Carson and Lois Ball.
Survivors include children, Drs. Warren and Bobbie Jean Jones, Birmingham, Ala., Doris Corn, Gainesville, Carol and Ron Pletcher, Tennessee, Linda Gilstrap, Gainesville, Randall and Gail Jones, Flowery Branch, and Lamar and Gail Jones, Flowery Branch; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Jones, Stone Mountain, and Susan Brewer, Acworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
