ILA – James (Jim) Fremont Ring, 66, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 3, 2014.
He was the son of Thomas Franklin Ring and Charlotte Sarvis Ring. Mr. Ring was preceded in death by brothers, Bob and Tim; and sisters, Pat and Lydia. He was born in Caney Springs, Tenn., and was a lifelong resident of Madison County, where he taught school for 32 years. He loved talking to people, farming, fishing, and riding his John Deere tractor.
Survivors include children, Matt Ring and wife Stephanie, and Jason Ring and wife Laurie Beth; two grandchildren Azalee Ring and Braxton Ring; several nieces and nephews; and, of course, Bubba, his dog.
A casual memorial service (overalls acceptable) will be held on Saturday, October 11, at 11 a.m., in the Union Baptist Church Family Life Center. After the service, the family requests everyone hang around and enjoy a few of Mr. Ring’s favorite things: reminiscing with friends, gospel music, and barbeque. Friends are asked to bring a side dish. Dessert and other basic items will be provided in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at First Madison Bank and Trust in Danielsville.
Ivie Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of the arrangements.
