JEFFERESON – Barbara Farrar Hamilton, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014.
Mrs. Hamilton was born in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of the late D.R. Farrar Sr. and Dorothy Lee Cox Farrar. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Academy Baptist Church in Jefferson and was a retired bookkeeper. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, William Alan Hamilton; sister, Mary Katherine Helmer; and brothers, D.R. Farrar Jr., Lloyd Farrar, Jerry Farrar, and Stephen Farrar.
Survivors include sister a sister, Betty (Bill) Brock, Fort Worth, Texas; children, Gregg Taylor, Forth Worth, Texas, Joe Mark Taylor, Las Vegas, Nevada, Cathy Fouse (Johnny) Fuller, Waxahachie, Texas, Steve (Karen) Taylor, Atlanta, and Lynna Myers, Jefferson; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m., in the Academy Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, in the church.
