COMMERCE – Agnes Hix Whitlock, 91, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Serenity at Jefferson.
Mrs. Whitlock was born in Commerce, the daughter of the late, Lilburn and Roxie Reed Hix. She was a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Oxford.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, C. Ernest Whitlock, Commerce; daughters, Wanda Bagwell (Merrill) and Patricia Watson (Bob). both of Commerce; grandchildren, Seth Bagwell, Adam Bagwell (Jessica), Roxie Watson, Lillie Watson, and Rosa Leigh Watson; and great-granddaughters, Madi and Rylee Bagwell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, at 2 p.m., from Blacks Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Wofford, Lee Hunter, David Shivar, and Bill Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 10, from 5 to 8 p.m.
