TOCCOA – Eddie J. Justus, 56, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014. at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Justus was born on March, 20, 1958. in Hall County, the son of Walter O. Justus, Blue Springs, Mo., and the late Betty Jo Gibson Justus. He was a supervisor at Scovil Manufacturing with 39 years of service. He was of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Justus was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Milton Justus; grandfather, H.M. Justus; grandfather, Hoyt “Smiley” Gibson; and grandmother, Ruth Marie Justus.
Survivors in addition to his father include his loving wife of 28 ½ years, Lisa Pace Justus, Toccoa,.; mother-in-law, Joyce Pace, Toccoa; daughter, McKayla Justus, Toccoa; daughter and son-in-law, Carly and Stephen Freeman, Woodstock; son, Levi Justus, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Justus Jr. and Tonya Justus, Sautee; sisters, Anna Maria Justus, Gainesville, Elizabeth Justus, Westfield, Ind.; brothers, Walter Justus II, Toccoa, Joe Lazenby, Clarkesville, Tony Lazenby, Eclectic, Ala., and Jimmy Justus, Blue Springs, Mo.; seven grandchildren; grandmother, Irene Gibson, Mt. Airy; along with several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kathy and Grady Scott, Toccoa.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Walter Justus, and the Rev. Ted Ansley officiating. Cremation will follow after service.
