JEFFERSON – Betty Ann Standridge Beatty, 86, got her wings on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
Mrs. Beatty was born in Jefferson, the daughter of the late Wootson D. and Annie Bell Payne Standridge. Mrs. Beatty retired as a supervisor at Belgrade Manufacturing, was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was continually involved in helping others, a trait that was passed to her by her mother. Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Beatty; son, Terry Gene Beatty; brothers, Harold Standridge and Dean Standridge; and a sister, Kathy Smith.
Survivors include a son, Tony Beatty and his wife, Sherry, Jefferson, son, Ricky Beatty and his wife, Heather, Jefferson; daughter, Ginger Kennerly. Toledo, Ohio; brother, L.C. Standridge, Jefferson; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 5, at 11 a.m., at the Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike McLemore officiating. She will lie in state at the Church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers will be Chris Beatty, Rod Beatty, Drew Beatty, Frankie Anglin, Raymond Beatty, Loy Griffith, Mitch Kennerly, Ricky Beatty Jr., and Shawn Lindsey. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home and at the church prior to the service.
