JEFFERSON – Charles Robert Ford, 83, entered into rest on Friday, December 19, 2014.
Mr. Ford was born in Girard, Pa., the son of the late Loyal and Cecil Reynolds Ford. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp and was an entrepreneur associated with Kentucky Fried Chicken for some 20 years. Mr. Ford was a member of Galilee Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Gilley Ford, Jefferson; two daughters, Kay Gibbs of Florida, and Lisa Murphy, Lawrenceville; two sons, Thomas Ford, Raleigh, N.C., and Robert Ford, Pennsylvania; eight grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 22, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister Nick Vipperman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday prior to the services.
