DANIELSVILLE – Frances Elizabeth Fleming Knight, 91, Danielsville, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014.
Mrs. Knight was born on September 18, 1923, in Elbert County, the daughter of the late Austin Loyd and Lucy Vercelle Fleming. She was preceded in death by a brother, Austin LaClade Fleming; and sisters, Betty Jane Fleming Bryant and Marjorie Fleming Parham. She retired in 1985 from Monarch Manufacturing Company in Comer after many years of service.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother to her daughters, Deanna and Beth Knight, Athens; son, Gordon (Jan) Knight, Monroe; granddaughters, Krystal Knight and Somer (Matt) Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Reese Anderson, Monroe. She is also survived by two brothers, Frank Chandler Fleming and Hewatt Loyd (Elizabeth) Fleming; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 28, at 3 p.m., at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with Elder Kenneth Adams, Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Meadow Cemetery.
