HOMER – Surrounded by her family, Ebbie Jean Osborn Hope, 74, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Ebbie was born in Commerce, the daughter of the late Hubert and Elsie Kesler Osborn. She was a member of Homer Baptist Church and served others for most of her life as a cosmetologist at Ebbie’s Beauty Shop. Mrs. Hope was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin Osborn, Denvie Osborn, and Doyle Osborn.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Hope, Homer; a daughter, Cindy Hope (Mark) Autry, Homer; sons, Jamey (Sarah) Hope, Homer, and Chad (Lori) Hope, Liberty, S.C.; grandchildren, Eli Autry, Hope Autry (Jody) Milford, Leigh (Michael) Carter, Andy Hope, Camryn Hope, and Emily Hope; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Bellamy, Toccoa, and Linda Dodd, Commerce; and brothers, Willard Osborn, Homer, Carlton Osborn, Carnesville, George Osborn, Homer, Harold Osborn, Nicholson, and Swayne Osborn, Homer.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and St. Mary’s Hospice for their teams of caring professionals who shared their commitment and compassion in extending the quality of Ebbie’s life.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 4 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Chad Hope and Jerry Stowe officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
