BALDWIN – Alice Andrews Irvin, 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Mrs. Irvin was born on October 1, 1927, in Banks County, the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lucy Cash Andrews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Irvin; daughter-in-law, Ruthie Allen Irvin; sister, Louise Boling; and brothers, Lee Andrews and Sebren Andrews. Mrs. Irvin was retired from Community Bank & Trust after 41 years of service. She was a member of Lamar Christian Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crossword puzzles, and fishing.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Irvin, Baldwin; sons, Bruce Irvin, Demorest and Bobby Irvin, Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Carol Irvin, Homer; brother, Cline Andrews, Cornelia; grandchildren, Judson Irvin, Kathleen Irvin Addison, Joseph Irvin, Julie Irvin Wofford, Kale Irvin, Nicholas Irvin, and Stephen Irvin; and great-grandchildren, Colt, Annabelle, Katie, Caroline, Annaleigh, Elizabeth, Max, and Samuel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at Lamar Christian Church in Baldwin, with the Rev. Chad Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 5.
