Gwynelle Rice Warren, 105, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.
Mrs. Warren was born in Commerce, and had lived in Macon since 1990 moving there from Athens. She attended the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs. Warren was the daughter of the late Nell Harbor and William Brannon Rice and was preceded in death by a daughter, Nell Warren Hicks. She was a homemaker, a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, the DAR, and the UDC.
Survivors include grandchildren, Ricky Hicks (Angela), Macon, Beth (Van) Sanders, Cumming, Brannon Hicks (Nancy), Macon, and Henry Hicks (Kelly), Macon; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial Celebration of her Life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 20, at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry St., Macon. Dr. Van Sanders will officiate.
