ROYSTON – Fred Robert Pulliam, 82, of Royston, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his home.
Pulliam was born in Royston, on December 21, 1931, son of the late Grady W. Pulliam and the late Myrtie Bell Dove Pulliam. He was a deputy sheriff having worked for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and was a member of the Zidon Baptist Church in Royston. Pulliam was also a member of the Royston Masonic Lodge and a retired member of P.O.A.G.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Freddy and Theresa Pulliam of Royston; daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Marshall Starcher of Royston, and Robbie and Ben Ayers also of Royston; grandchildren and spouses, Amy and Chad Marcengill, Andrew and Olivia Fowler, L. Ben and Sandra Ayers, Meredith and Scribner Dailey; 10 great grandchildren; and special friend, Fanida Fleming of Colbert.
Funeral services for will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Petty, the Rev. Andy Bond, and the Rev. Roger Hardy officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening and from 1 p.m. until funeral hour on Saturday afternoon. The family is at the home.
