BETHLEHEM – Gladys “Anmommie” Wages, age 93, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, June 26, 2014.
Born in Dawson County, she was a daughter of the late Horatio Edward and Isolonie Harbin Tatum. Wages was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Wages and sons, Henry Wages and Randall Wages.
She was a graduate of Winder High School, a retired seamstress with Empire Manufacturing Company and at the time of her passing, the oldest member of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughters-in-law, Kay Wages and Delores Wages; grandchildren, Terrie Seagraves, Tina Crawford, June West, Tandy Fortson and Dan Wages;
special friend, Kay Wall; nieces and nephews, Margaret and Johnny Parker, Sammy and Pat Wages.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bethlehem First United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem First United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 709 Christmas Avenue, Bethlehem, Georgia 30620.
