LULA – Dorothy L. Forrester, 88, died Sunday, August 3, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Coweta County, the daughter of the late, Edward and Blanche Vera Drake. She was a homemaker and a member of Homer Baptist Church. Mrs. Forrester was preceded in death by husbands, Frank L. Dey, Jr., Atlanta, and Swayne J. Forrester, Lula.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Browning (Rick), Dunwoody; son, Frank Dey (Cannie), Buford; step-daughter, Gatha Ables (Tommy), Norfolk, Va.; step-son, Gary Forrester (Penni), Lula; sisters, Evelyn McLendon, Smyrna, and Janie Miller, Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Christian Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Banks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 to 2 prior to the services.
The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to her devoted caregivers, Donna Osborne and Carol Miller, and to Gentiva Hospice.
