AUBURN – Pam Burel, 58, died Friday, August 15, 2014.
Beloved wife, mother, nana, daughter and sister, Pam graduated from Winder-Barrow High School, Class of 1974, and was employed as assistant principal at the Chestnut Mountain Creative School of Inquiry, having taught in both Hall and Barrow Counties for 24 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Pi at Brenau University, and had worked as a hairdresser and realtor.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband of 35 years, Ernest Burel, Auburn; daughters, Adrian (Brian) Dunegan, Auburn, and Hannah (Christopher) Cory, Winder; seven grandchildren, Phoebe, Peyton and Paige Dunegan; Eden and Jennings Croy; parents, Eugene and Mary Nash, Winder; sisters, Teresa Marsh, Winder, and Melanie Black, Jefferson; and brothers, Greg Nash, Winder, and Tracy Nash, Tellico Plains, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 18, at 4 p.m. in the Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Kevin Craig and Bobby Bear officiating. Interment will follow in the Auburn City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Barrow County Chapter.
