GAINESVILLE – James Edward Loggins, 61, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at his brother’s residence following an extended illness.
He was born January 29, 1951, in Cleveland, the son of the late Fannie Lou Loggins. He was self employed in the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry. James was a member of Harmony Street Baptist Church. Mr. Loggins was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Montine Grindle Loggins.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Stowe Loggins, Gainesville; daughter, Amy Loggins, Iowa; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Michele Loggins, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Wanda Loggins, Commerce; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Arthur Palmer, Cleveland; granddaughters, Ashley Loggins, Madeline Loggins and Abby Loggins, all of Iowa; grandsons, Drew Loggins, Alex Loggins and Trey Loggins, all of Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 2, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Revs. Thurman Parker and Joey Herns will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
