WINDER – Ruby Lucille Stringer, 88, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Joe and Bessie Chapman Shelton and was a member of Winder First Baptist Church. She worked with her husband at Stringer Insurance and Realty. Mrs. Stringer was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tom Stringer.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Stringer (Erin), Bethlehem, and Scott Stringer (Amy), Hoschton; a daughter, Kathy Holdredge (Danny), Winterville; brother, Charles Shelton, Fayetteville; sister, Isla Caraway, Grayson; six grandchildren, Katie and Sean Holdredge, Josh Holmes, Danielle Madrano, Morgan and Matthew Stringer; and one great-grandchild, Georgia Madrano.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 20, and 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 21. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, in the Smith Memory Chapel.
